The Africa-Europe Week that will take place from 14 to 18 of February 2022 aims to strengthen the links and connect people from both continents. The leaders of the European Union (EU) and the African Union (AU) along with their respective Member States will meet in Brussels for the 6th European Union – African Union Summit between 17 and 18 of February.
Before the Summit, young individuals, civil society and anyone else interested are welcome to participate virtually in the event “From Local to Global Green Action: African EU cooperation to tackle the interlinked climate health and biodiversity crisis”.
Within this session, expert speakers will discuss about climate and biodiversity actions that can benefit the environment and create stronger alliances. The participants will be able to share their own view and touch upon issues that will also be central to the EU’s and AU’s Summit, such as resilient agri-food systems and value chains, agriculture, sustainable development and energy and digital transition, as well as economic integration among others.
