The sustainability impact of Digital Agriculture Solutions

Ploutos live workshop in Lisbon

Smart Agri Hubs Final Event
26 to 28 September 2022
Lisbon, Portugal

On Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 September, the SmartAgriHubs ecosystem will open its doors to the European agricultural and digital innovation community!

Several workshops and lectures will be held on the challenges, and opportunities of the digitisation and digitalisation of agriculture. Several Horizon 2020 projects will be present and an exhibition will be open for representatives of the industry.

PLOUTOS is very excited to participate with a workshop at the first “Synergy Day” of the SmartAgriHubs Final Event and help to enhance the collaboration among European innovators by supporting cooperation, discussion and exchange of best practices!

Precision Agriculture & Sustainability; Using less to grow more!

Precision agriculture is using technologies to become more efficient & sustainable at the same time.
However, understanding the role and importance of digitalisation in agriculture continues to be challenging.

Can we measure sustainability?

Yes, we can!
Different EU projects are developing not only digital solutions but also frameworks to assess the impact of their implementation. During this workshop presented by PLOUTOS, we will focus on two things:
1) Presenting innovative examples of digital technologies applied in practice, in real-life conditions and;
2) Showcasing the frameworks and ways of assessing their impact in regards to sustainability.

Moreover, we will present several examples from PLOUTOS, CPS4Agri, and other EU projects that will showcase the importance of modernising and streamlining agriculture practices. Finally, there will be a talk about QuantiFarm & their assessment processes.

A few words about the PLOUTOS project

PLOUTOS project has received funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement Nº 101000594.
Its main objective is to help re-balance the agri-food value chain & enhance its sustainability by establishing a Sustainable Innovation Framework and create opportunities for changes. In order to apply, integrate and assess the proposed innovations in agri-food value chains, PLOUTOS supports and coordinates 11 Sustainable Innovation Pilots (called SIPs).

Learn more about each one of the 11 Pilots and the changes they brings in the dedicated webpage (Sustainable Innovation Pilots) and don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts for updates on events, milestones and so much more!
